I’m Richie Hartig, owner of Orlando Photoworks. I’ve been shooting professionally since 2012: weddings, proposals, corporate events, headshots and marathon finish lines. That last one matters more than it sounds. When the moment won’t happen twice, I’m already in position.
I know what it’s like to be the lead. Every wedding I book has two photographers, and my corporate clients run multi-room events, so I’ve hired plenty of second shooters and I know exactly what I want from one. That’s the standard I hold myself to when I’m shooting for you.
I’m based in the Orlando area and cover weddings, corporate events and conferences across Central Florida. No travel or lodging to budget for.

You run the day. I cover what you can’t be in two places for, and I check in with you so nothing gets doubled up or missed. What that looks like for weddings and events is below.
Double booked, or a date that didn’t fit? I photograph the wedding or event as your studio, following your timeline, your shot list and your client experience. You edit and deliver as usual.
No business cards, no self promotion, no tagging, and no handing out my info. If a guest asks, I point them to you.
I never reach out to, follow or market to your clients, before or after the event. Any inquiry that comes my way goes straight back to you.
I shoot on your cards and hand them back before I leave, so you have every RAW file the moment the event ends. Need digital delivery instead? Just say so and we’ll arrange it.
I sync my camera clock to yours before the first frame, so our images merge into one clean timeline when you cull.
Send me your shot list, timeline, editing look and dress code. I’ll match it. Default is all black for weddings and business attire for corporate work.
Couples, grandmothers, event planners and CEOs all get the same friendly, unhurried version of me, even when the timeline slips.
Fast primes for dark reception halls and ballrooms, the 70-200 for ceremonies and keynote stages where you can’t move, and a 24-70 for everything in between. Four portable Godox strobes for off-camera light on formals, group shots, dance floors and headshot stations. Dual card slots and spare batteries on me, plus backup cards in case yours fill up.
A second shooter works alongside you on the same wedding or event. An associate photographs it for you, as part of your studio, when you can’t be there. Either way, you edit and deliver the gallery.
Yes. I second shoot and cover as an associate for conferences, galas, award ceremonies, trade shows, races and other corporate events, including running a headshot station so you can keep covering the event.
By default I deliver unedited RAW files so everything gets edited in your style. If you’d like help with culling or editing, ask and we can talk it through.
I shoot on your media and hand your cards back at the end of the event, so you have every RAW file before I leave. If you need digital delivery instead, we can arrange that.
Orlando and Central Florida, with no travel or lodging costs for most venues and event centers in the area. Travel farther out is available on request.
